This would make one crazy CD!

I don’t have a favorite song ever. But I do have a favorite song for some of my favorite artists. Here are a few of them, with youtube links for your listening pleasure. (I also have a very eclectic taste in music lol)

Grateful Dead
Janis Joplin
Led Zeppelin

I can’t explain why some of these are my faves, like the Ozzy song, just that I love them. I also must point out that I love ALL of these artists songs and it is hard in some cases to pick just one fave.

Ok, so maybe I do have a favorite song ever:
Don’t judge me!

That’s all for now!

I joined a gym! YAY for me. It is an awesome set up, with childcare, and not as expensive as I thought it would be. They have classes everyday too. I can’t wait to try out cardio kickboxing.
But I only really got to go once so far.

Day #1 was the consult. Weighed, measured, shown all the equipment, etc. It was getting to be D’s nap time then, so I told the lady I’d be back the next morning to actually get started. We walk into the kid room and D is fast asleep! Standing up with his head on one of those tiny little kid chairs. It was so funny, cause I just told her it was getting close to his nap time. I wished I had remembered my cell so I could snap a pic lol.

Day #2 D cried the whole time, back in the kids room. They finally came out and got me after FORTY minutes. (I didn’t know he’d been crying so long or I would have stopped sooner) I realize later in the day he has a fever, so I figure that is why he was so crabby. Decide to skip next day so we don’t get other kids sick too.

Day #3 stay home cause D has fever and runny nose. That night, Hazy develops an earache and slight fever.

Day #4 stay home so Hazy doesn’t get other kids sick.

Day #5 yep. Momma is sick. Today was kickboxing day too. I just wanted to watch today while I worked out, to see if I’d like to do it next time.

I can’t win lol.

I found this awesome idea onBakerella after I saw her making her cupcake pops on Martha(again).

I got inspired this time to give it a try, but I didn’t want to make the actual cupcake ones. So I poked around on her site a bit (ok, a lot!) and found these red velvet cake balls and these lollipops. Perfect!

I baked a red velvet cake(from a mix) and let it cool. ( I let it cool all night since it was late when I got to bake)
I put the cake, in pieces, through the food processor. (except the little bits around the end that were a bit hard, that I just had to eat lol)
I added 1/2 can of cream cheese frosting. (didn’t need the whole can it says on Bakerella)
Mixed it all up with my hands. Squish. Squish. (maybe this is why I didn’t need as much frosting, since I mashed it together so well)
I rolled them into little balls. (got 45, not counting what got eaten along the way)
Inserted lollipop sticks and into the fridge they went!

When I started working on them, I put them in the freezer to get them nice and cold for dipping.
I used chocolate and white almond bark and pretty sprinkles.
After dipping them, I put them back in the freezer for a few minutes to harden. Since I didn’t have anything good to stand them up in(like some foam) I improvised with an upside down empty egg carton. The lollis leaned a bit, but at least I didn’t have to dry them laying down.

They were fun and fairly easy to make. They were a bit time consuming, but so worth it! They were yummy and the kids had fun dipping and sprinkling.

Here are a few of the prettiest ones:

And here they all are! (some are stick-less)

YUM! I’m not sure how well this will work, but I plan on trying chocolate cake ones covered with peanut butter. I just don’t know how well the peanut butter chips will melt/harden on the balls.

Have you made any lolicakes? What flavors do you like the best?

So, I already finished Twilight. I finished it up yesterday afternoon. It was very good. I get what all the buzz was about now. I admit, it is a bit young but not so much that I could not enjoy it.

The book started out very ‘teen’ but grow stronger as it went on. Almost like the Harry Potter series. The first few HP books were very young and I almost gave up reading them. But then the series grew darker and the books just kept getting better and better. I am hoping for the same from the Twilight series. That the books mature right along with Bella. From what I have heard/read, I won’t be disappointed.

It is taking all my strength not to run out and buy the next one right now. It is a perfect rainy day today too. Just right for a vampire story. We don’t get too many days were it is cloudy all day down here. I could just get completely lost in a good book today. *sigh*

In the past few days I have been hearing a lot about these Twilight Series books. I have never heard of them before, so I was intrigued.

I saw the first one at Walmart today and picked it up. Read the first chapter and just had to throw it in my cart! It was only about $10 with tax and all, so I didn’t feel too guilty spending a little bit on myself today. The last book I bought myself was the last Harry Potter lol. (at midnight, when it was released)

I can not wait to get started on it! But I need to do some school work first. I know if I start reading it now, nothing will get done!
